Yoga classes

My classes follow a predominantly hatha yoga style which is involves holding postures for several breaths. My teaching style is very much informed by body and energy awareness andI encourage students to deeply connect with their bodies during class. As our energy levels and moods vary, so will our practice and this is very much reflected within the way I structure my classes and within the variations and modifications I provide.

  • Hatha Yoga

    Hatha Flow

My hatha flow classes are intricately curated by drawing on the ancient lineage of hatha yoga, co-ordination, proprioception and encompasses a variety of breathwork and meditative practices. Body awareness is the core concept within which I draw inspiration from and within which I encourage you, the practioner to connect to in order to cultivate a more nuanced, kinder and direct connect with with physical and energetic capabilities of your own body.

  • Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is an embodied practice that provides practitioners the opportunity to ‘feel’ into their bodies through a combination of focus on and integration of the physical, energetic and mental bodies.

By holding postures for an increased duration of time in comparison to a traditional hatha yoga class and directing attention to particular target areas and meridian lines, it begins to work into the fascia and connective tissue of the joints. A core concept of yin yoga is finding and feeling into sensation, questioning how these sensations are experienced in the body and becoming curious about how they can change within the timeframe of the held pose.

It affords practitioners the opportunity to draw their attention more inward and ‘be’ in the pose. It is a whole body experience. ‘Yin’ in Taoist terms is a very inward, intuitive energy concept and these elements are integral to the yin practice.

  • Outdoor Yoga

Taking your practice outdoors is a beautiful way to practice and also to nurture the mind-body-earth connection. My outdoor classes contain vastly similar elements to that of my hatha flow classes and provide us with ample opportunity to breathe in fresh air, honour our surroundings and embrace nature.
